The Role
Overview
Lead delivery strategy, coordinate teams and stakeholders for HS2 Euston programme.

Tasks
-To ensure that client requirements are met, ensuring that all quality, assurance, and compliance documentation is provided in a timely manner, collaborating with relevant parties/stakeholders. -Responsible for the co-ordination between the procurement, design, construction and assurance teams to ensure the sub-contractors can progress work on site in accordance with the schedule of works. -Directly responsible of all support functions from a project perspective and work with Function Leads to ensure sufficient subject matter expert support is in place to meet project demands. -To be the point of escalation from Senior Project Managers and Heads of Functions for project risks. -Mentors and develops the project team; provides a safe work environment to learn and mature. -Accountable for project timeframes and project budgets and ensures budgets are managed diligently and highlights any risks, challenges, and mitigations. -Takes responsibility for their actions, leads by example and acts in an ethical, legal and responsible way. -Responsible for the safe delivery of a large part of the HS2 Euston programme. -Responsible for project report to the Client and Directors including progress of the works, actual cost, forecast and highlighting any problems and issues for resolution. -Manage the overall client interaction and relationship. -Excellence: Promoting innovation, development, training and continuous improvement to achieve the highest quality of project delivery. -Leads others effectively, gives clear direction, coaches, and supports others to reach their full potential. -To promote, champion and lead the implementation of all best practice, safety management and safety initiatives across all aspect of design and site delivery, to lead a safe and healthy working environment for all. -Identify, develop and lead the implementation of project improvement initiatives. -Area Lead for safety and quality investigations. Ensure root causes are found, lessons are learnt, and control measures implemented to prevent recurrence. -Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to support the success of the broader Mace and Dragados projects. -Promote and deliver a collaborative environment throughout all members of the team including stakeholders and the supply chain. Establish and maintain site organisation and facilitate effective communications between the Employers’ representatives. -Ensure project teams are monitoring works to achieve right first-time work and undertaking lessons learnt reviews to promote continuous improvement, while maintaining daily records. -Ensure all packages starting on site have an approved readiness review. -Drive the procurement of services and works required to deliver the project. Review and approve all scope of works prior to tender -Recruit, develop and lead high performing teams that strives for quality, safety, cost, and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables. -To support and report to the Project Director, defining & managing the delivery strategy.

What You Bring
-Excellent understanding of all MEPFC systems, codes, BS and LU standards relevant to the works -Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with key stakeholders. -Demonstrable evidence of deep project management expertise. -Proven proficiency in Client and Stakeholder management. -Demonstrates a better perspective and explores innovative approaches, in pursuit of a better way. -Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (or equivalent local safety certification). -MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE (or local equivalent). -Demonstrates sound analytical ability, appreciating complex issues and situations -Have excellent communication skills (including presentation skills) in English and the ability to report at Director and Board level. -Experience within a similar role within an appropriately sized organisation -Proven problem solving and analytical skills across estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls and reporting for planning, estimating, contract administration and procurement issues for various procedural, construction, and design activities. -Proven Team Leadership. Team sizes 30+ people. -Proven experience in overseeing budgetary and NEC contracts. -Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage own time. -Previous experience on rail projects across London Underground, Network Rail, Crossrail -Experience in the successful construction delivery phase of projects and programmes. -Ability to manage teams of people in a multi-disciplinary environment. -Proven technical expertise in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules and regulations. -Adapts and reacts well to changing priorities and requirements. -Able to operate at the highest level of compliance. -Experienced dealing with MEP designers, contractors and subcontractors -Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
