Pit Loader Operator

Overview

Operate pit loader safely, maintain stockpiles, perform inspections and upkeep

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed -Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor -Performing daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper function -Operating other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed -Completing daily pre and post inspection of working areas and ensures they are equipped with adequate berms and roadways -Operating a pit loader within the company guidelines and safety standards -Ensuring safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushers -Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site

Requirements

What You Bring

-Have six (6) months of experience in the operation and maintenance of a front-end loader (preferred) -Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position -Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
