Foster + Partners, the award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy have excellent opportunities for experienced Industrial Designers specialising in Furniture / Product design to join our expanding Team. The team works on elements for major architectural projects, for clients on private commissions and with major design led brands to develop new products for commercial manufacture. The role requires creative thinking, design sensitivity and strong technical ability and workshop skills. -Able to assess the need for manufacture of a presentation model and to liaise with the model shop in terms of time and material management. To work within the safety guidelines and provide support to others within the machine tool environment -Capable reviewing industrial design work as part of the internal review process -Excellent organisational skills -Able to construct sketch and high-level presentation models in house for review and client presentation -Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally -Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team -Able work on industrial and furniture projects within the department and act as a consultant to the architectural and interiors teams -The ability to prepare and develop from the brief, a design proposal and presentation by means of hand sketches, technical drawings, graphics, CAD models, working and presentation models
