Interior Design Intern

Overview

Assist CDO in interior design for residential projects: drafting, sourcing, and site coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• autocad drafting

Tasks

-Updating the catalog library. -Creating mood boards, color palettes, and material selections. -Producing floor plans, elevations, and detail drawings using AutoCAD. -Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements. -Sourcing, organizing, and shipping approved specs and samples. -Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. -Performing administrative tasks such as collecting/returning vendor samples and organizing the sample library. -Overseeing deliveries and assisting with installations. -Developing interior design concepts that align with project goals. -Producing detailed drawings and specifications. -Conducting site visits and addressing any design issues that arise. -Overseeing project implementation to ensure design intent is achieved. -Coordinating with vendors and contractors.

-Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work. -Experience in furniture, lighting, and textile sourcing. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Strong work ethic, self-motivated, extremely organized, and a team player with a can-do attitude. -Strong interpersonal skills and integrity. -Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. -A license to drive and access to a vehicle is a plus. -Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment. -Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with Ivy software is a plus. -Creative thinking with the ability to suggest improvements. -Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a design program.
