Tasks
-Oversee configuration and management of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, access points) -Lead network architecture initiatives, including segmentation, high availability, and disaster recovery -Mentor and train junior network engineers and administrators -Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve network efficiency and security -Design, implement, and maintain advanced network solutions (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, cloud) -Manage cloud networking (Azure, AWS), including automation, monitoring, and integration with on-premises systems -Document network designs, procedures, and incident responses -This role may travel to remote job sites or office locations on an as-needed basis. -Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple environments -Collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic projects -Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewall rules, IDS/IPS, zero trust, and compliance frameworks

What You Bring
-Strong background in cloud networking (Azure, AWS), automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform), and network monitoring tools. -Experience with network automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). -Prolong periods of sitting and working at a computer and standing and walking during job site or office visits. -Deep expertise in network design, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, wireless, IPv4/IPv6, dynamic routing protocols. -Familiarity with compliance standards (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS). -Travel is required to industry conferences and training sessions as needed. -Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Industries is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. -Advanced proficiency with Cisco and Aruba device management. -Proven experience with network security: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, web filtering, access control. -Strong critical thinking skills and detailed oriented. -Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong focus on building and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally. -5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments. -Have strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple priorities under stress. -Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-layered issues. -Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team leader. -Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members. -Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities. -Dexterity to handle small components and tools. -Dependability, punctuality, customer service orientation, attention to detail. -Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, Aruba Certified, or equivalent advanced credentials. -Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs. -Able to prioritize tasks and projects effectively, with excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills to accomplish desired results.
