The Role

Overview

Optimise commercial performance of Defence contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

Tasks

-Management and control of contract registers, portals, correspondence and all elements relevant to stakeholder engagements -Interpret and apply contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance -Work closely with downstream procurement / subcontracts teams to establish subcontracts, manage subcontract obligations and report on issues -Support development of operational contract management documents and deliver to project teams -Take ownership in ensuring contractual and commercial outcomes, working individually and as a member of the broader commercial team -Collaborate with operational, legal, finance, and procurement teams -Support contract variations, extensions, and renewals -Serve as a commercial contact for internal and external clients across allocated contracts -Monitor contract performance against KPIs and SLAs -Provide support on commercial and contract risk management

What You Bring

-Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and contracts -High level of motivation and commitment to improve work practices, systems and procedures -Understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and financial principles -Ability to seek and be involved in new business opportunities and effectively interface with the Client -Experience working in a matrixed or cross-functional environment -Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills -Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
