The Role

Overview

Oversees production, materials, equipment, and staff when supervisor absent.

Tasks

-On a regular basis, Team Leader should be available to answer questions and assist employees when the Supervisor is not available. -Keeps a neat and clean work zone. -Demonstrate and implement change. -Plans and coordinates work. -May recommend counseling and/or disciplinary actions. -Keeping track and assisting Supervisor with team members’ attendance records, work schedules and PTO schedules. -Assigns employees to appropriate work stations, ensures components and materials are available for use and assists employees with assigned duties. -Assists with the screening and interviewing of potential employees and submits recommendations. -Provide leadership and work in a team environment to support business objectives. -Trains, monitors and evaluates performance. -Takes active role in staff development. -Enforces company policies fair and consistently. -Ensuring that quality standards are maintained.

What You Bring

-Maintains positive morale and team environment. -When operating production equipment: frequent lifting, bending, pushing & pulling. -Metal Manufacturing (loud and noisy). -Ability to achieve a standard of excellence with our quality processes. -The use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and proper dress and foot attire. -Demonstrated leadership ability, including experience coaching and training others. -Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement. -Hands on which includes periodically bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing ladders, moving and lifting heavy objects. -Being helpful, respectful, receptive to feedback, approachable and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment. -Excellent problem solving skills. -Stand, walk or sit for up to 2/3 of time. -Good verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to work well under pressure. -Excellent Attendance Record. -Communicates well with others -Repetition hand movement with computer entries. -Willing to expand skills, with education and trainings classes.
