Architectural CAD Technician

Overview

Prepare Revit and AutoCAD drawings under architect supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Prepare conceptual site plans, aerial overlays, building plans, maps, and exhibits. -Set up drawings according to company standards for title blocks, layers, fonts, and line weights. -Conduct spell checking / cross-referencing / quality control / revision tracking. -Prepare preliminary and final construction documents. -Update drawings in response to design modifications, redlines, and comments. -Assemble plan sets for submission to agencies in PDF and Hard Copy

What You Bring

-Positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills -Photoshop, SketchUp, Illustrator, and AutoTURN experience a plus -Strong working knowledge of all forms of MS office software -Candidates that aspire to become licensed architects are a plus. The ability to work independently, follow instructions, balance a diverse workload, and meet deadlines -Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD drafting software with an emphasis on Revit -1 year of on the job experience is required but 2+ years of experience is preferred working with an A/E design firm preparing Preliminary Design and Construction Documents
