Tasks

-Preparation of an installation slip; -Annotate work to be done (barrier, border, pavement marking, etc.); -Analyse ground data and prepare base maps; -Prepare graphic representations of a parcel of land or a portion of road (plan, profile and section); -Assisting Senior Technician in technical analysis; -Preparation of a highway, roadway and detour path;

What You Bring

-Ability to work on multiple projects at given time. -The successful candidate is likely to be having 3-10 years’ of highway work experience with consultancy firm or developer, International experience or Global design centre are an asset. -Understanding of Canadian standards and design practices are an asset -Good written and spoken communication skills and be fluent in English -Strong organization skills; -Must have strong abilities to work with CAD, Microstation and Microsoft Office; Knowledge of InRoads, Openroads, Infraworks and Civil3D will be an asset. -English spoken and written -3-10 years’ working experience on infrastructure projects and detail design of highways and drainage. -Cultural awareness -Familiarity with Canadian regulatory environment and experience with approval processes is an asset; -French spoken and written a plus -Temporary or permanent signage design; -Solid understanding of other road design requirements (e.g. drainage / hydraulic design, environmental design / mitigation measure, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design); -Solid understanding of Ministry of Transportation, Canadian standards and design practices are an asset; -Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision -Experience to work in/with other cultures. -Diploma in Civil; -Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
