Tasks

As a Project Lead Engineer (PLE), you would start a typical day with organization of tasks to support multiple concurrent projects. You will review contracts, evaluate on time delivery of engineering documents, review scope and identify gaps, organize meetings for clarification of technical issues, mentor other Engineers, and provide reporting to your manager and other leaders within the business! * Representing auxiliaries engineering in customer communication. * Leading the contract technical scope and document schedule for auxiliaries from project kickoff through handover to our customer. You will coordinate appropriate flow-down of contract requirements to the Engineering teams at kickoff. * Leading a team of experts for mechanical, fluid, electrical and control systems towards the project management. * Building the interface between the Installation team during erection and commissioning of Siemens Energy equipment, at Customer sites. * Acting as primary point of contact for the project management for technical auxiliaries’ scope on a project. You will collaborate with both local and global Siemens Energy Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Installation teams in support of project execution activities. You will facilitate information flow between Engineering, Program Management, and our customers as the need arises and agreed. * Highlighting risks of execution to Program Management and Engineering. You will manage internal engineering change requests and support external technical scope changes to support Project Management during project execution.

What You Bring

* Travel up to 20% annually, international as needed. * Proven capability in both written and verbal communication. Proficient in English. Demonstrated experience in prioritizing work and completing tasks. Ability to work in multi-functional teams and lead through influence. * Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Siemens Energy tools such as Fabasoft, SAP, Teamcenter, and COMOS/ePlan. * 8+ years of professional experience in the power plant project execution with knowledge of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and/or Generator auxiliaries. * Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or a comparable field, with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably an advanced degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
