Interim Warehouse Technician

Tasks

-Identification of cost savings and avoidance opportunities -Creation of purchase requisitions for goods and repairs, including coordination with applicable parties -Physical and electronic receipt and issuance of material -Management of inbound and outbound transportation -Safely operate material handling equipment in compliance with relevant regulations -Management of obsolete material -Identification and management of material overages, shortages and damages (OSD) -Support audit requirements -Perform daily equipment checks on material handling equipment related to the warehouse -Maintain accurate records and update inventory information as required using SAP, Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications -Focus on continuous improvement and compliance with Inter Pipeline’s policies, processes and procedures

What You Bring

-Knowledge of safe handling practices for hazardous goods and materials -Proven ability to safely operate forklifts; certification is an asset -High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain or Warehouse Management is an asset -Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and sound judgment skills -3 years experience in a professional warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of inventory control and material handling -Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards, policies, processes, and procedures -Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to interact with diverse stakeholders -Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment -Understand and apply basic storage and preservation requirements -Strong computer proficiency, with experience in Materials Management ERP systems- SAP for goods movement transactions, inventory tracking, and label generation
