The Role

Overview

Construct and maintain high/low voltage electrical equipment in substations.

Tasks

-Assist with repair and maintenance activities and identify potential problems and solutions to recover from any setbacks -Carry out prescribed electrical work according to regulations -Conduct job scoping and planning with accuracy -Inspecting, fault finding, and defect elimination on HV and LV electrical equipment. -Identify potential issues and provide effective solutions to recover from setbacks

What You Bring

-New Zealand driver’s licence -Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics & diagrams -Accurate record-keeping and reporting of the works undertaken -Experience with isolating and switching HV & LV network systems -Be a registered electrician with a current practicing licence -Preferably working at height competencies and experience heavy industry & construction type skill set -Able to cope with the physical demands of the job and has a strong commitment to health and safety -Experience in 11KV to 220KV Substation Construction or Maintenance is desirable
