  • Replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, relays, contractors, and control button

  • Basic knowledge of the layout of wiring and installing wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings per the NEC
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions operating and maintenance instructions, and memos.
  • Effective communication with and respect for co-workers and their property, vendors, and tenants
  • Basic knowledge of Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged parts, broken wires, cables and connections
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule: days, evenings, weekends, and emergencies
  • Present self in professional manner: neat appearance and grooming
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the face of the customer and subordinates
  • HS Diploma or equivalent preferred or combination of experience and training.
  • Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to effectively present information in one–on-one and small group situations of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Able to attend and pass certification and licensing classroom and practical training for rolling stock, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and email and will possess the aptitude to be trained in computer applications.
  • Knowledge and responsibility to maintain the following electrical distribution equipment: 3 phase 4 wire 277/480 VAC, 3 Phase 4 wire 120/208 VAC, and single phase 3 wire 120/240 VAC
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Basic knowledge of Maintaining building lighting, task lighting, parking lot lighting, lighting contactors, emergency lights/exit lights, 120-volt outlets, photoelectric eyes for exterior building lighting, and lighting contactors that are controlled by the energy management system
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Able to produce a quality work product in a prompt, safe and efficient manner. Observe and adhere to safety and health rules.
  • Ladder and lift work required.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • 3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written report
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
