Tasks

Participate in Performance review evaluations with Division Manager for Principal to Project personnel Serve as Operations Manager and Principal-in-Charge (PIC) on key projects Participate in interviewing and new candidate training of new staff Lead and mentor project managers, subject matter experts, and technical team members Assist Division Manager with developing and implementing business strategies, set annual marketing budgets, and prepare for bidding opportunities to meet stated business metric goals and financial performance. Support billing, collections, and performance reporting Review and approve timesheets and expense reports Ensure compliance with safety standards of all phases of a project, to meet the client’s objectives and company policies Oversee proposals, fieldwork planning, scheduling, QA/QC, and final deliverables Maintain and grow client relationships and pursue new business opportunities Manage division workload, staffing, and budgets

What You Bring

Technical Skills: Candidate should have strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies, expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Environmental Remediation, Environmental issues (air, waste water, hazardous waste), and attending shortlist/interview presentations for major environmental clients. Candidate should have senior management level presentation and negotiation skills, business development and client services focus. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and problem solving skills are a must. Must be able to act as the client manager for key clients or services areas, having a high profile through membership associations and a strong environmental network in Southern California. Must be a strong technical reviewer, able to mentor junior technical personnel and able to plan and implement projects. Computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (California) required Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geology, Engineering, or related field Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills Ability to work and collaborate with employees at all levels and across all disciplines. 10+ years in business development and client relations 20+ years of project and team management experience Possess program and project management capabilities and experience to effectively assist Project Managers. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites Ability to succeed in a team-oriented environment, collaborative environment with shared resources, and interfacing with a variety of different groups to accomplish project objectives.
