Lead and manage utility‑scale BESS commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Tasks
-Maintain commissioning deliverables, logs, equipment checklists, and LOTO logs. -Review contracts, subcontracts, and project drawings to ensure contracted deliverables are understood, met, and align with internal BESS commissioning requisites. -Engage in daily/weekly interactions with peer departments, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and customer entities. -Work cross departmentally to ensure the BESS commissioning teams have all necessary tools to safely and efficiently perform commissioning services. -Manage BESS Commissioning Scopes across multiple projects, to include creating site-specific commissioning schedules, plans, testing documents and start-up procedures. -Manage and provide training to junior BESS commissioning technicians, to include performing electrical testing and troubleshooting. -Coordinate and perform energization, start-up and troubleshooting of substations and BESS commissioned field equipment, to include generating methods of procedures. -Preparation of plans at beginning of projects for receiving, storing, and managing materials, PPE, and tools as required. -Carry Weight: frequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 50 pounds -Will sit, stand, walk short distances, and climb stairs on an occasional basis. -Execute, maintain, and enforce Qcells Safety Procedures and Protocols. -Coordinate and perform BESS commissioning activities, providing daily project status reports.

-Experience and ability to lead remote teams. -Ability to work outdoors, exposed to the elements. -Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry on a frequent basis; maximum of 40 lbs. lifting. -Experience and ability to effectively communicate with all key stakeholders throughout the organization (Engineering, Construction, Contracting, Leadership), key vendors and clients. -Practical and applicable knowledge of BESS Commissioning & Electrical Standards (NETA, IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, NERC). -Body Position: frequently remains standing and moving up to 90% of the time in a 8-10 hour work day -Electrical Engineering Degree or degree of equivalent applicability -Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. -Inverter Manufacturer Troubleshooting Training -Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far -8+ years of BESS commissioning or electrical experience in renewable energy. -Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position -OSHA 30 Certification. -May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis, to include kneeling or bending. -Regular professional, construction site setting -Noise level ranges from moderate to high (if on construction worksite) -Travel: up to 30% as needed -Ability to manage time and work priorities independently. -NETA Level I, II, or III Certification or certification of equivalent applicability -NFPA 70E Certification. -Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations -Practical and applicable knowledge of the electrical requirements of a utility-scale PV system, to include substation and PV field components, testing requirements and test equipment used. -Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. -Move/Traverse: frequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk -if operating equipment, be able to enter and exit equipment up to 90% of the time in a 8-10 hour work day -High understanding of SCADA infrastructure. -Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office trailer setting) -Understanding of relay testing and commissioning processes
