Tasks
Join the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) as a Revenue Systems Manager (Planner VI) and take the lead in managing the financial backbone of our multimodal transit system. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee the technology, strategy, and operations behind electronic fare collection—ensuring every ride is supported by efficient, secure, and future-ready revenue systems. If you're passionate about public transportation, innovative system management, and making a lasting impact through financial leadership, this is your next stop. -Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with other agencies, Lead Operations and Maintenance Contractors, and other City and County of Honolulu Departments in order to fulfill requests, support special projects, and resolve issues. -Managing electronic revenue collection system contracts, relationships, and budget. -Overseeing the development and implementation of software, hardware and policy enhancements to the electronic revenue collection system. -Overseeing the management and coordination of vendors, contractors, and consultants. -Overseeing technical modifications of existing electronic revenue collection equipment and directing integration of new systems and technology enhancements. -Responsibility for electronic and cash revenue collection, processing, reconciliation, compliance, operations, contractors, and commercial services relationships for multimodal transit. -Engaging in surveillance, inspection, investigation, audit, and reporting activities to ensure programs satisfy the requirements of any relevant contracts, plans, procedures, and work instructions as well as any applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. -Responsibility for the on-going review, inspection, and acceptance of contractor submittals such as invoices, performance reports, change requests, plans, procedures, work instructions and training materials to include competency tracking and assurance.

What You Bring
Five years of professional (post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) fare revenue operation, systems and program work experience as a primary function in a large public or private transportation or financial organization. Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration or a related field.
