Tasks

Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Senior Designer, PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget Provide review of engineering and landscape drawings to ensure they comply with design solution. For smaller projects may oversee all design and drawing Manages design budget for assigned projects With Senior Designer, researches and selects fixtures and finishes to use for projects Drafts technical drawings Provides detail for interior and architectural design projects Works with team to develop architectural concepts for interior and exterior repositioning and/ or adaptive projects Obtains cost estimates and produces final cost estimates Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages for both interior and exterior Works with team to develop design ideas and create both presentation and construction drawings Oversee tasks and provide feedback on work product Ensures integration into overall design Conducts client interviews to determine space needs and requirements; good working knowledge of Affinity program tool May be required to assist with support for field surveys Oversees Intermediate Designer to review space plans and tackles more complicated issues Assists in developing packages for larger projects May develop and finalize conceptual design for smaller projects May mentor the work of Junior and Intermediate Designers

Working knowledge of path of travel requirements Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills Intermediate MS Office Suite skills Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements Advanced Revit skills Advanced knowledge of space planning Extensive with the concepts of furniture layout Advanced sketching and rendering skills 5+ years’ experience in workplace design, focusing on building repositioning and adaptive re-use projects as well as corporate interiors Our team members are collaborative, creative, professional, expert and entrepreneurial. The Designer, working under general supervision of a Senior Designer or Project Manager, provides design support primarily in project administration, presentations, concept design through design development, and contract documents. Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted Advance presentation skills Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures Advanced architecture detailing skills Working knowledge of contract administration Extensive knowledge of furnishings and finishes Extensive knowledge of design principles, workplace trends and aesthetics Extensive knowledge of repositioning and adaptive re-use projects
