Tasks

-Customize Smart 3D settings and configurations to meet specific oil and gas project requirements and company standards. -Perform database optimization and performance tuning to ensure efficient access to critical project data. -Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions for new and existing users, focusing on oil and gas specific applications of Smart 3D. -Ensure compliance with project-specific requirements and company standards within the Smart 3D environment for oil and gas deliverables. -Assist in the development of 3D modeling standards and workflows that comply with oil and gas industry regulations and safety standards. -Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines. -Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g., piping, structural, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of 3D models for complex oil and gas assets. -Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the Smart 3D environment for oil and gas design and engineering. -Ensure data consistency and accuracy within the Smart 3D environment, crucial for the integrity of oil and gas designs. -Manage and maintain Smart 3D databases, including catalog and specification databases relevant to oil and gas equipment and materials. -Provide support to project teams in setting up and managing Smart 3D projects for oil and gas facilities. -Stay up-to-date with the latest Smart 3D features and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry. -Install, configure, and maintain the Smart 3D software and related components (e.g., catalog, specification, reference data) tailored for oil and gas projects. -Act as a point of contact for Smart 3D related queries and issues arising from oil and gas project teams. -Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity, with a focus on the critical nature of oil and gas data. -Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance Smart 3D capabilities for oil and gas applications. -Develop and implement database standards and procedures that align with oil and gas industry standards and company best practices. -Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings within Smart 3D, adhering to industry best practices. -Create and maintain documentation related to Smart 3D procedures and best practices within the oil and gas context. -Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Smart 3D users working on oil and gas projects. -Configure and manage interfaces with other engineering software used in the oil and gas industry. -Manage and maintain Smart 3D templates, symbols, and catalogs that are specific to oil and gas equipment and piping components. -Develop and implement custom reports, scripts, and tools to enhance Smart 3D functionality for oil and gas design workflows. -Plan and execute software upgrades and patches, considering the specific requirements and regulations of the oil and gas industry.

What You Bring

-Proven relevant experience as a Smart 3D Administrator or similar role within the Oil & Gas industry. -Strong communication, interpersonal, and training skills, capable of effectively interacting with multidisciplinary teams in the oil and gas sector. -In-depth knowledge of Smart 3D software architecture, database structure, and administration functionalities, specifically as applied to oil and gas projects. -Strong understanding of oil and gas plant design principles, piping specifications (e.g., ASME, API), and relevant industry standards. -Familiarity with other Intergraph software (e.g., SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Materials) commonly used in the oil and gas industry is a plus. -Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in an oil and gas project context. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team within the demanding environment of oil and gas projects. -Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Piping, etc.), Computer Science, or a related technical field.
