Tasks

-Conducts constructability reviews and supports conceptual design development. -Interfaces effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, I&C) and clients. -Power System Analysis: Perform and review detailed engineering calculations using ETAP, including AC/DC power studies, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, arc-flash, and protective relay settings. -Interface with clients and support implementation personnel. -Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, I&C). -Site Support: Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and construction coordination. -Develop and review equipment procurement specifications. -Leads integrated engineering processes to meet project milestones. -Support vendor bid evaluations and manage Q&A tracking. -Coordinates with fabricators and engineers to develop and refine designs. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Prepare scoping documents and conceptual design reviews. -Create and review detailed designs for lighting, communications, and security systems. -Participates in vendor bid evaluations and supports procurement processes. -Ensures compliance with quality assurance standards and timely project delivery. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.

What You Bring

-Familiar with P&ID, PFD, and general arrangement drawings for skid-mounted or permanent equipment packages. -Experienced in preparing and reviewing specifications, procurement documents, and engineering design packages. -Demonstrates initiative in identifying and resolving engineering challenges. -Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing error-free documentation. -Proficient in electrical system design, including low and medium voltage distribution (transformers, generators, motors, relays). -Competent in lighting, communications, and security systems design. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Extensive background in commercial and DOE nuclear design projects. -Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -10–15+ years of experience in electrical engineering design for industrial applications or nuclear power plants. -Regular, reliable attendance -Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -Willing to travel (less than 20%) for design reviews and site coordination. -Knowledgeable in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and engineering design principles (e.g., GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, interference checks). -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. -Skilled in performing detailed engineering calculations using ETAP: AC/DC power studies, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, arc-flash, motor starting, and protective relay settings.
