Process Lead, Power & Gas

Bechtel

The Role

Overview

Lead process engineering for gas turbine power generation and utility systems in an industrial project.

Key Responsibilities

  • scope management
  • design review
  • p&id development
  • utility systems
  • commissioning support
  • client interface

Tasks

-Manage technical scope, schedule, and cost for process engineering deliverables. -Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and interface with clients, vendors, and construction teams for technical alignment and project execution. -Conduct risk assessments, safety/environmental reviews, and support permitting documentation. -Ensure designs meet industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA, ISO, IEC, EPA, OSHA). -Lead design reviews and client presentations. -Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of power generation and utility systems. -Oversee and specify process utility systems including steam, water, fuel gas, nitrogen, plant air, and chemical dosing. -Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and control philosophies for power generation and utility systems. -Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives. -Lead process engineering tasks for gas turbine power generation and/or balance of plant systems from conceptual design through startup and turnover.
