Overview
Manage and inspect ODOT construction projects ensuring compliance and completion.

Tasks
-Coordinates inspection of project sites, oversees testing of materials, and documents work to ensure work performed by contractors is in compliance with all state and federal specifications. -Interprets contract provisions, plan requirements, and reviews project records. -Correlates and analyzes field data, reviews plans and records, initiates change orders, prepares time extensions, submits estimates and all other forms necessary to complete a construction project, assists with dispute resolution, estimates, conducts progress meetings, prepares meeting minutes, and performs other related duties, and finalizes or assists with finalizing and closing out the project. -Perform data entry into ODOT’s CMS/SITE MANAGER system or local documentation equivalent as directed by the Project Engineer or LPA person in responsible charge (as defined in the LPA participation requirements Chapter of the Locally Administered Transportation Projects (LATP) Manual of Procedures). -Inspects construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with specifications, plans, and/or proposals, and is subject to ACI Level I certification for concrete testing and successful completion of the ODOT Compaction Testing of Unbound Materials Test for soils testing. -Manages a construction project or a portion of a construction project, ensuring construction work performed will achieve the plan and specification intent. -Calculates final pay quantities. -Works under the immediate supervision of an ODOT Area Engineer or LPA Person in Responsible Charge (as defined in the LPA participation requirements chapter of the Locally Administered Transportation Projects (LATP) Manual of Procedures)

-RequirementsSixty (60) months of construction project technical/management experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a school with ABET ABET-accredited program. Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. -Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. -Sixty (60) months of construction project technical/management experience. -Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a school with ABET ABET-accredited program.
