Tasks
-Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements -Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work; Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems -Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems; Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards -Lead project interviews and project presentations -Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds -Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication -Provide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staff -Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering; Lead research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals -Train, mentor, and motivate staff -Performs site assessments and generates detailed analysis and technical reports

What You Bring
-Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required -Ability to sell work and develop client relationships -Strong training and mentoring skills -Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI) -Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises -Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups -Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull -Professional Engineer (PE) License required -Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook -Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu -14 years of experience minimum required, 16 preferred, in the building design consulting industry -Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems -Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others -Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment -Attention to detail and problem-solving skills -Ability to travel up to 25% with occasional overnight stays
