Overview

Entry-level CAD Technician designing and drafting civil engineering plans.

Tasks

-Complete quantity calculations as directed by engineer. -Revises or changes drawings, and completes simple calculations with specific instructions. -Design and drafting of engineering plans. -Works under the guidance of engineers and project managers to complete assigned drafting tasks. -Maintains schedules and offers progress reports. -Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs.

What You Bring

-Associates Degree or equivalent preferred -Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. -Previous experience with Autodesk Products (Civil 3D) -1+ Years of civil engineering design related experience preferred. -Ability to take direction and express understanding of the directions received. -Previous experience with Bentley Products (Microstation, GeoPak, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, etc.) preferred. -Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines. -Understands and follows the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout. -High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum
