Tasks

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Newcastle branch. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently coordinating the movement, loading, and unloading of Mobile Storage stock and equipment within the yard. You’ll ensure all containers and products are handled with care, accurately tracked, and positioned to support smooth branch operations and customer delivery schedules. -Load, unload, clean, and prepare equipment to meet branch and customer requirements. -Support team operations by assisting with general yard, delivery, and site duties as required. -Provide friendly, professional customer service when liaising with clients or working on site. -Safely operate forklifts and equipment, following all PPE and safety procedures. -Work for the world’s largest equipment rental company -Maintain accurate paperwork and promptly report any discrepancies or maintenance issues.

What You Bring

Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks as part of the recruitment process. -Experience operating Container Reach Stacker and/or Container Side Picker is desirable. -Experience with hand tools. -Extensive experience operating forklifts with loads up to 12 ton including top lift forklifts. -Driver’s license -Numeracy, literacy and intermediate computing skills. -Shipping container handling experience is desirable. -Forklift license
