The Role
Overview
Lead and support proposal development for AECOM's Buildings + Places projects

Tasks
-Leads medium to large proposals and presentations, and supports from capture through to interview stage, with support as required. -Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval -May serve as lead writer and editor for tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and/or management approaches for proposals. -Creates annotated outlines and content plan and provides recommendations to technical teams on section structures. -Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams. -Supports capture managers in development of the win strategy during capture through interview preparation. -Coaches entry level proposal team members -May support marketing or pursuits strategy and content development related to clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, account managers (CAMs) and business lines, as necessary. -Facilitates color reviews (Pink and Red team), quality reviews, and applies lessons learned to add value to proposals. -Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead, leverages past pursuit debrief information. Supports team during win/loss debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement. -Participates by providing recommendations in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.

What You Bring
-BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field -A strong working knowledge of InDesign as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. -Experience demonstrating leadership qualities. -Excellent writing skills, with an aptitude and attention to detail. -A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc. -BA/BS + 4 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future -Proven organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule, and lead deliverable efforts by others; and the proven ability to manage documents. -Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors is highly preferred -A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools. -Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others. -An understanding of CRM Salesforce experience is a plus. -Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion. -A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.
