The Role
Overview
Assist with structural design, drafting, and construction oversight for various projects.

Tasks
-Perform design drafting to prepare project drawings and details. -Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist -Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight -Perform construction observation and administration on projects. -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear -Assist design engineers in performing structural design of commercial, industrial and residential structures. -Assist Project Managers in performing structural design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including water-tight structures. -Assist Project Managers in design and construction of structural systems of reinforced concrete, wood, masonry, structural steel, steel joists, and light gauge steel. -Assist Project Manager with the development and preparation of plans, specifications, technical reports, and estimates.

What You Bring
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis) or related field -Successfully completed the Fundamentals in Engineering, or ability to complete within 6 months -May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town -May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. -Proficient in Revit -Ability to travel as required -Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and curiosity -Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -Intern or employment experience related to structural design, building construction, or project management -Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain -Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time -Working knowledge and experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and computer aided design software
