The Role

Overview

Design and develop HMI/automation systems for custom conveyor equipment.

Tasks

-Establish communications between HMI servers and PLC systems over networks. -Conduct testing and simulation of HMI and control systems before deployment. -Collaborate with customer project engineers and automation engineers to design and develop HMI and control systems for industrial equipment. -Deploy HMI terminals and PLC control systems in the field and make onsite modifications during commissioning and startup. -Work with a dynamic engineering team on exciting automation projects. -Develop HMI programs using Ignition, Wonderware, and AB FactoryTalk for new systems and upgrades.

What You Bring

-Experience with Studio 5000 or other PLC ladder logic programming. -Associate degree or equivalent technical certification. -3+ years of experience in industrial HMI and control system development (Wonderware, Ignition, AB FactoryTalk SE & ME). -Understanding of OPC UA protocol and servers. -Travel overnight 15–20% for field deployments and project support. -Varied project exposure from retrofits/upgrades to greenfield manufacturing facilities. -Experience developing in WinCC or AB FactoryTalk Optix. -Graphic design or technical writing experience. -Programming in Python or SQL. -Basic IT networking knowledge. -Familiarity with High Performance graphical design methodology (ISA-101).
