Civil Project Manager

Overview

Manage and design civil engineering projects, liaising with clients and overseeing execution.

Tasks

-Work with the Firm’s management on various aspects of assigned projects. -Monitors work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, standards, and design criteria. -Proactively work with the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to obtain plan approval and permits. -Management, preparation, and coordination of all technical designs of multiple projects. -Prepares estimates for engineering work. -Research and preparation of feasibility documents. -Provides guidance and continuously educate team members on standards and changes within client or scope of work. -Attending meetings with the Client for project review and coordination. -Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work. -Attend construction meetings and conduct field observations. -Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project consultants. -Preparation of weekly project status reports for assigned projects.

What You Bring

-Excellent communications skills both oral and written. -Familiarity with regional design criteria. -Highly proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office suite. -Excellent interpersonal skills with coworkers, owners and public agency officials. -Licensed professional engineer (P.E.) required. -Must be flexible to changes and able to operate in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to work interdependently within a team environment. -5 - 10 years of experience since graduation. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred.
