Tasks

-Participate in company safety programs and policies to promote a safe and healthy work environment -Perform routine (planned maintenance) on all power plant equipment, including predictive, preventive, and minor corrective maintenance. Will also be required to assist contractors with work that is beyond the capability of the Operations & Maintenance Tech, including tasks such as gas turbine, steam turbine maintenance etc. -Operation and routine maintenance associated with water treatment equipment. These activities will include the routine monitoring of water quality and the performance of routine maintenance of water treatment equipment -Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring that the area is left in an unobstructed and safe condition following the completion of maintenance / repair tasks -Monitoring of operating parameters and recording operating data, including production efficiencies, electrical usage, pressures, temperatures, vibration indications, alarms and other pertinent information related to the safe operation of the power plant equipment -Stand or walk and sit. Frequently the employee is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or occasionally, crawl -Lift objects of up to 50 pounds in weight. Carry objects of up to 35 pounds in weight. Occasionally the employee will have to push or pull objects 70 pounds in weight -The de-energization (lock-out/tag-out) of all equipment within the scope of responsibility pertaining to the power plant assets that is required to allow the safe performance of maintenance on such equipment -Talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and constantly reach with hands and arms -Performs inspections, water analysis, and troubleshooting, to optimized plant performance -Performs scheduled and un-scheduled plant maintenance to optimize plant availability and improve cost effectiveness -Perform troubleshooting and correcting problems related to the proper monitoring, control, and operation of power plant equipment -Ensure that the powerhouse assets are operated in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner -The recording and documenting of all maintenance activities that are performed on power plant equipment. This includes utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to electronically document information and historical data -O&M Technicians will be required to promptly notify the Plant Manager/Assistant Plant Manager of any unusual, abnormal, or potentially unsafe operating conditions and take appropriate action to mitigate any potentially unsafe condition or condition that if otherwise not corrected could result in out of specification system production

What You Bring

-Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus -Four years’ experience in power plant operations -Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English and perform basic mathematical calculations -A high school diploma or equivalent -Must be available for call outs, scheduled overtime, weekend, and holiday work -Technical training and demonstrated ability to perform successfully in similar work environments

Benefits

-Works (8-Hour) days Monday-Friday unless needed for (12-Hour) Operator shift coverage
