The Role

Overview

Supervise a small crew, manage erosion control tasks, and operate equipment.

Tasks

-Assist crew members to load and unload materials as needed. -Work under inclement weather conditions such as rain, heat, and cold. -Review daily work orders, inspect and verify that the materials loaded to the vehicle are adequate to complete the daily assignment. -Assist crew members to remove, fill, compacting, and prepare the terrain. -Responsible for monitoring attendance and productivity of a 2-3-person crew. -Install silt fencing and erosion control blankets using a variety of hand tools. -Coordinate daily tasks according to scheduled routes. -Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment, and resolve problems when they arise. -Perform site clean-up and reload leftover materials after the job assignment is complete. -Provide supervision and training to all crew members. -Monitor and report to Area Quality Managers of project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities promptly.

What You Bring

-Prior experience driving ½ or ¾ ton trucks, with a 20+ foot trailer attached, fully loaded. -Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a plus. -Must pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen. -Physically able to walk, bend, squat, and lift to 50 lbs. -Must have prior work experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead. -Must have a valid drivers' license and three years verifiable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) -Must have prior experience in operating small machineries such as Bobcat and other excavating equipment. -Ability to understand/follow directions and take instructions in English.
