Tasks

The Civil Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all onshore civil construction activities to ensure that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. The role demands leadership in managing field teams, subcontractors, and resources to achieve timely project delivery for EPC and oil & gas infrastructure projects. -Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. -Ensure inspections, tests, and documentation are completed as per ITPs and project requirements. -Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with local regulations. -Ensure construction is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project procedures. -Monitor progress against schedule and implement corrective actions to avoid delays. -Raise and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where applicable. -Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings. -Supervise civil supervisors, foremen, and workforce ensuring productivity and discipline. -Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials requirements for efficient site operations. -Enforce Lamprell’s HSE policies and procedures at all times. -Track and report resource usage, productivity, and cost control measures. -Manage subcontractors’ performance and ensure adherence to project specifications. -Lead and supervise all civil and structural works including foundations, concrete works, earthworks, drainage, roads, buildings, and infrastructure facilities. -Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical and site issues promptly. -Verify quality of works performed by subcontractors and in-house crews. -Participate in progress and coordination meetings with the client and project management team.

What You Bring

Minimum Diploma engineer. -Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.). -Certification in HSE or Construction Management (desirable). -Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. -Experience in oil & gas, EPC, fabrication yards, or industrial onshore projects is essential. -Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera, and construction management software preferred. -Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. -Minimum 15 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 8 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. -Decision-making & problem solving -At least 15-years’ experience in the onshore construction industry/petrochemical industry. -Excellent communication skills (oral + written) in the English language. -Proven ability to manage large teams and subcontractors in a multicultural environment.
