Provide construction surveying for mining projects: layout, control network, As‑Built records.

Tasks

-Provide Civil project completion documentation including "As-Built" records -Establish and/or verify and maintain the project’s survey control network -Responsible for the accurate layout of construction work, recordation of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities -Support the implementation of project’s machine control technology -Review Survey Control field work and perform accurate network least squares adjustments -Prepare survey CAD drawings as required in the performance of duties, including generation of Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and volumes computations -Provide Construction Survey support to both Field Engineering and Field Supervision -Perform and/or check survey computations as required in the performance of duties

What You Bring

-Demonstrated proficiency with Survey CAD software, including generation of Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and volumes computations -Demonstrated experience using Trimble survey equipment and Access field software -Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment, able to formulate a working relationship with survey team members, other departments, contractors and survey functional management -Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to industrial surveying field & office activities -Engineering/Technical degree and 5 years’ experience in heavy construction/industrial surveying, involving a mix of field and office duties with modern instruments and software, with at least 3 years’ supervisorial experience or 15 years’ experience (in lieu of a degree), with at least 5 years’ supervisorial experience -Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner -Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience -Demonstrated experience with Robotic Total Stations, Digital Levels and GNSS survey systems -Knowledge of construction survey principles -Multi-Disciplined Field Engineering Survey experience with earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural steel, mechanical, and piping, etc. installation layout and verification
