Senior Materials Engineer

Manage material submittals, testing, QA/QC, and documentation for large Dubai project.

Tasks

-Coordinates work of consultants/ contractors for material testing. -Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used. -Maintains office files related to the project, material inspections and writes daily diaries. -Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work. -Prepare plan for the onsite testing of materials in coordination with the QAQC Department and Construction team. -Check material delivered are as approved and properly stored. -Review the Sub-contractor's material submittal as per BOQ and specification -Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract. -Prepare the material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications. -Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures -Serves as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials at the job site. -Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and reports to QAQC team with proposed solution. -Prepare and update the project finishing schedule with all material information which as per approved material submittal and related RFI and letter.
