Service Center Operations Supervisor

Tasks

-Establish and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards. -Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. -Investigate and address any safety concerns or incidents promptly. -Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. -Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and timely inbound processes. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues. -Conduct regular inspections and implement measures to improve overall product quality. -Uphold safety and compliance standards. -Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures. -Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels. -Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the distribution center. -Provide coaching, feedback, and training to team members to enhance performance and skill development. -Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center. -Lead and inspire a team of distribution center staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. -Utilize technology and systems to track and manage inventory effectively. -Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands. -Implement best practices to maximize productivity in receiving and handling incoming shipments. -Encourage teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. -Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve distribution center performance. -Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members. -Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.

What You Bring

-Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. -In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes. -Proven experience in distribution center management, with a focus on inbound and inventory control/quality assurance operations. -Strong leadership and team management skills. -Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. -High school diploma required. -Excellent communication and organizational abilities. -Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
