Tasks

-Design roadways in accordance with AASHTO and NYSDOT specifications and CADD Standards using Bentley Open Roads, Open Bridge, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. -Work alongside experienced practitioners to expand your knowledge. -Perform field work and support construction phase services. -Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, Concept Design Reports, Design Exception Reports, and Preliminary Engineering Reports. -Develop design plans and calculations, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.

What You Bring

-Experience with Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, and / or AutoCAD Civil 3D. -Understanding of civil engineering design concepts for grading, drainage, earthwork, roads, bridges, and culverts. -Civil engineering technician/technology diploma from a recognized community or technical college or the ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge received from previous experience. -Ability to work with Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, Projectwise. -Ability to work as a member of a team. -Strong communication, coordination, time management, and organizational skills. -Detail oriented and ability to remain focused. -0 to 3 years of experience in engineering consulting or construction industry.
