Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs and ensure regulatory compliance.

Tasks

-Maintains attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and system data entry to ensure integrity and compliance -Coordinate and deliver EHS-related training to employees and contractors, ensuring appropriate documentation and regulatory compliance. -Actively participate in manufacturing and safety meetings to address regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and improvement opportunities. -Conduct regular safety inspections, observations, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, FAA, fire codes, and internal standards. -Uses data and critical thinking to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and make informed, timely decisions -Support special projects and company initiatives related to safety, health, environmental compliance, and sustainability. -Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and compliance plans. -Effectively prioritizes tasks, manages time, and coordinates multiple initiatives to meet deadlines and operational goals -Stay current on changes in safety and environmental regulations and recommend updates to company policies and practices as needed. -Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization to support EHS initiatives and foster engagement. -Serve as a secondary point of contact for regulatory agency inspections, permitting, and compliance reporting. -Monitor and maintain internal and external reporting, including regulatory submissions related to air, stormwater, surface water, hazardous waste, and other environmental discharges. -Lead or participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage, ensuring timely corrective actions, documentation, and prevention of recurrence. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations and Maintenance, to identify and resolve EHS risks and drive continuous improvement. -Promote a proactive safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, engaging with employees, and reinforcing company EHS values and expectations. -Assist with the administration and oversight of the workers’ compensation program, including claims follow-up and return-to-work efforts. -Builds productive relationships across all levels of the organization; effectively communicates and influences to drive safety and compliance culture

What You Bring

-Holds a Bachelor of Science in Safety Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or equivalent -Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) a plus -Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of EHS principles, tools, and practices applicable to industrial environments -Has the ability to be on call or work off hours as needed -OSHA 30-Hour (General Industry) -Possesses working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance programs -First Aid/CPR/AED -Has strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills -Is proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with EHS management systems a plus -Has demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail and organizational abilities -Has a minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings -Exercises sound judgment in handling sensitive and sometimes confidential information with professionalism and integrity
