Overview
Senior Architectural Technician delivering multidisciplinary design & coordination through RIBA stages.

Tasks
-Complete design information and prepare tender documents packages including Pre Construction Information packages. -Assess requirement for and prepare CDM design risk assessments as required. -Provision and/or assessment of initial budget cost information and input into the development of overall programme. -Manage co-ordination between disciplines and have a good understanding between discipline activities. -Review available building condition surveys to establish the categorisation and approach to a project. Preparation of designs, schedules of work and specifications and with managing design information including co-ordination of input from other design disciplines and external providers. -Liaise with construction professionals and contractors. -Contribute to preparation of applications and obtain statutory consents as required. -Work around constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget. -Support design process in accordance with the Integrated Management System. -Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during project delivery. -Be conversant with Planning and Building Regulation approval processes to deliver design packages at relevant RIBA stage. -Travel regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings -Create building designs and detailed drawings using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications. -Manage, or complete the delivery of design/specification process through to tender document production, to include elements of design. -Ensure all required clients sign off and authorities are obtained throughout the lifecycle of the project.

What You Bring
-Ability to obtain MOD Baseline Security Clearance and MOJ clearance. -Demonstrable post-graduate/training experience in various design environments including Commercial, Transport, Education, Government (MOD/MOJ). -Experience in the Rail or light Rail sector. -Fully conversant in remote communication systems such as Microsoft Teams. -Have strong technical background in detailed design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects. -Computer literate and thoroughly conversant with MS Office suite. -Experience of using Bentley Microstation -Experience of using Bentley MicroStation. -Member of CIAT (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologist). -Experience in various design applications including AutoCAD, Revit, Micro-Station, SketchUp & BIM. -Experience of using NBS and other relevant design/CA software. -Understanding of H&S legislation and particularly CDM Regs -Knowledge of Building Regulations, Planning, H&S and other legislation. -Experience of using ProjectWise. -Experience of delivering projects under various Contract Forms and Conditions (E.g. Design and Build).
