Tasks
-Manage mechanical subcontractor contracts and contract modifications -Information storage and retrieval using a computer and other handheld electronic hardware. -Interface between area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical system startups -Verify all documentation is complete and equipment being prepared for startup is construction complete and can be safely started -Review and process project submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure the accuracy and functionality of each component of the various MEP systems -Write and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs and activity checklists -Organize and facilitate training of clients' personnel in the operations and maintenance of MEP systems -Organization, ensure completion and filing of record documents -Oversee billing and schedule of values for mechanical subcontractors and vendors -Run startup meetings involving area Construction Managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, local utility agencies and owners to coordinate/drive MEP system start up activities -Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements within the overall project design -Secure mechanical subcontractor and equipment buyout -Field surveying layout of control lines and benchmarks -Assist with managing mechanical project staffing -Oversee the plumbing and fire protection mechanical subcontractors and vendors installation work daily to insure they are maintaining their installation schedule, support system startup and commissioning activities. -Receiving and distributing requests for information (RFI) and change in scope documents issued by other team members -Assist in estimating mechanical budgets -Hands/Arms: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials

What You Bring
-Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone and radio; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment -Skills in handling several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress -Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences. -Must be able to plan and organize work efficiently for maximum outcome -LEED Accredited Professional, or the ability to become accredited within 18 months preferred -Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or field work experience -Lift/Carry: Must have the ability to lift or manipulate 50 pounds to a height of 3 feet, and carry or push it 50-100 feet. -Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio -Must be a dedicated team player, self-starter, flexible and be able to work well with a variety of personalities and minimal instruction. Must be able to remain calm in high-pressure situations. -Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal -Hearing: Must be able to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 75% of the time. Must be able to wear hearing protection as necessary. Often required to communicate with customers and coworkers in an office setting and on the job site. -Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have an elevated level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers -Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills -Must be able to climb stairs: Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces. -Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential to being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations -Speech: Ability to communicate laws, ordinances, plans, regulations, protocols, directives, and standard operating procedures related to project scope in English. -Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences -Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine the best method to accomplish desired results -Education background in materials and methods of construction -Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method; familiar with CSI specification system for construction -Must be able to physically access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review. -Must use independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work closely with project owners, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors -Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks -Bending/Twisting: Minimal -Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid, and far range. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination -Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner(P6) -Legs: Must be able to climb stairs - 20% of day -Must be able to work independently, make quick and effective decisions, and follow through on all assignments to meet required schedule -Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail -Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques -Lift/Carry: Up to 50lbs. Computer/drawings - minimal -Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use -Interpretation of construction documents, control sequences and technical manuals. -Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Bluebeam -Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Must be able to regularly position self in a kneeling, crouching or crawling position for the purpose of examining project work. -Sight: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading printed and digital documents -Provide clear communication verbally, written and electronically -Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of standing, walking, and sitting -A minimum of five (5) years of plumbing and fire protection mechanical construction experience -Specific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor types of projects
