Overview

Lead and grow a transportation/traffic practice in Oakland, managing projects, clients, and staff.

Tasks

-Building and maintaining positive client relationships -Providing vision, business planning and strategy -Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway, and/or ITS-related projects with our growing team of transportation professionals -Growing and leading a Transportation/Traffic practice -Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor -Establishing goals

What You Bring

-Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in the local area -Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications -Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license -Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems -Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably -Operating with integrity and sound business principals -Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization -Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities -Having open communication with your partners and team -Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills -Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner -15+ years of transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design experience -Beyond serving our existing clients, has the ability to pursue own passions, leads, and clients
