The Role
Overview
Apprentice Aircraft Structural Engineer assisting maintenance on large fixed-wing aircraft.
Key Responsibilities

Tasks
-Prepare, organize, and maintain tools, materials, and documentation required for maintenance and repair activities. -Accurately complete maintenance records, logbooks, and related paperwork as directed. -Support licensed AMEs in performing sheet metal fabrication, riveting, composite repairs, and corrosion prevention tasks. -Adhere to all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures during maintenance operations. -Assist in ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company maintenance policies. -Assist in the inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft structural components such as fuselage, wings, flight control surfaces, and doors. -Participate in troubleshooting, disassembly, and reassembly of aircraft structural assemblies under supervision. -Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care of equipment and tooling.

What You Bring
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documents. -Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning. -Currently enrolled in, or a graduate of, a Transport Canada–approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Structures) program. -Ability to obtain Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) if required. -Strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail. -Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs require. -Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced maintenance environment. -Some prior experience working with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication is an asset.
