Overview

Design, inspect, and rehabilitate bridges for transportation projects in Ottawa

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Assist with planning and schematic/geometric layout of new structures. -Assist in preparation of construction specifications. -Organize design calculations; and assist with project construction administration including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information. -Perform construction and life cycle cost estimate. -Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate. -Prepare plan drawings and details. -Assist with on-site inspection, analysis and condition assessment of existing structures. -Perform material quantity take-offs.

What You Bring

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to work in a team environment. -Familiar with Bentley’s MicroStation. -Proficient with MS Office software. -Bachelor of Civil Engineering. -Knowledge of structural analysis software. -Bridge Inspection experience OSIM. -P.Eng designation obtained or will be obtained soon. -4-8 years of relevant experience.
