Tasks

-Integrate industry solutions into Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) system baseline -Manage technical baseline through procurement and Authority to Proceed (ATP) -Work with industry, stakeholders, users, and operators to define requirements and capabilities -Develop standards, frameworks, and models to describe and procure next generation NC3 systems -Manage strategic space future development for Space Systems Command (SSC) Military SATCOM portfolio -Direct a small team of engineers to assess, develop, validate and document technical baseline -Design and sponsor demonstrators and prototypes to validate design assumptions -Develop and maintain next generation technology and communications systems development and design baseline

What You Bring

-Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in communications, computer science, networking, radar, Large Scale Integration (LSI), or equivalent technical degree -Masters of Science (MS) degree in technical area, such as engineering, math, physics, or computer science -Familiarity with NC3 organization and next generation concepts -Active Secret clearance required for this position -Experience with space systems and/or military or commercial satellite systems -5 years' experience working with future technology efforts, such as Analysis of Alternatives, trades, prototypes, demonstrators, standards development, frameworks, and models -Experience overseeing development contracts to develop, design, assess simulation and prototype hardware and software -10 years' experience with technical requirements development, systems engineering, systems integration, technology development -Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (word, excel, PowerPoint) -15 years' experience -Experience leading, managing, or supervising small teams -Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with diverse technical teams -Ability to articulate market ideas and concepts with stakeholders in support of next generation technology -Certifications, such as PMP, INCOSE CSEP, ESEP -Chief Engineer experience
