Tasks

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects from healthcare facilities through to commercial offices and retail developments. -Delivering technically excellent engineering solutions for and consultancy services to our clients. -Mentoring and facilitating the technical development of more junior resources. -Lead, motivate, inspire and guide your team to reach their full potential and deliver outstanding results. -Performing a lead engineer or design management role on projects. -Driving business development, winning work, identifying the next opportunities and supporting the winning of these opportunities. Bid preparation and submittals as required. -Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver an exciting portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects. -Developing and maintaining strong client relationships. -Driving and supporting a culture of safety and quality within the team. -Ensure that the team is the 'enabler' of our NDY’s service offering in the Brisbane Existing building market -can work alongside existing leaders and in multidisciplinary teams and can effectively collaborate with and drive the performance of those around them.

What You Bring

We are seeking a talented and experienced Building Services Team Leader, preferably but not necessarily with a background in electrical engineering, to join, lead and grow the Existing Buildings team in our Brisbane office. This role will focus on driving growth in the Existing Building’s sector and excellence in our current and future projects. -has a Working knowledge of relevant regulations, engineering codes and standards and industry guidelines. -has sound business and commercial acumen, understand goals and metrics that drive business, financial and project performance and manages scope and time of self and others to optimise team performance and efficiency. -is open to receiving and implementing constructive feedback. -has a background in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, as well as a practical knowledge of all building services disciplines. Note that an electrical bias is preferred but not essential. -consistently produce accurate and high-quality work. -has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders. -is politically astute, with a keen understanding of team dynamics and client relations. -has strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive change. -has a proven track record in delivering projects from concept to completion. -A senior practitioner with technical expertise recognised in the local market -should have a relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent, and should have RPEQ status or a clear pathway to achieving that status.
