Civil Project Designer

Overview

Design and develop civil engineering plans for land development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Research regulatory requirements and design standards -Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D -Assist project engineers in completing projects in a timely manner and within project budgets -Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions to project challenges -Preparation of detailed technical reports and project presentation materials -Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements -Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application -Attend project meetings -Preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents

What You Bring

-A desire and/or ability to work in teams to accomplish shared goals -Self-motivated with the ability and desire to deliver excellent client service -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D for site development -Proficiency with MS Office -1-5+ years of experience in site development design -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, or equivalent work experience
