Lead design & protection/control for high voltage energy projects in the UK

Tasks

-Develop scoping documentation and Main Connections & Protection Diagrams. -Review Protection & Control Designs developed by third parties. -Review Commissioning Plans and attend Commissioning Panel meetings. -Specify P&C related equipment and plant such as relays, CTs, and VTs. -Produce detailed designs including AC/DC schematics. -Conduct protection grading studies, produce relay files and settings.

What You Bring

-High regard for safety with demonstrable experience in risk mitigation. -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field. -Knowledge and experience with protection relays and relay panels, CT & VT sizing calculations, protection grading studies, and producing detailed AC/DC drawings. -Familiarity with UK electrical practices and standards and an understanding/appreciation of CDM regulations. -Experience working on Distribution Networks as a Senior/Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer. -Experience working with National Grid processes.
