Prep cook prepares ingredients, maintains kitchen cleanliness, supports chefs.

Tasks

-Assist with receiving and storing deliveries -Support with closing and cleaning duties as needed -Label, date, and store food properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste -Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly -Assist cooks and chefs with daily prep tasks and mise en place -Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines -Keep prep stations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift -Prepare and portion ingredients (chopping vegetables, cutting meats, making sauces, etc.)

Requirements

What You Bring

-Basic understanding of food safety and knife handling -Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed -Ability to work on your feet for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs -High School Diploma or GED -Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one) -Good time management and organizational skills -Previous kitchen or prep experience required
