The Role

Overview

Design and analyze roadways, including alignments, plans, and cost estimates.

Tasks

-Support preparation of design documentation -Design and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignments -Design temporary traffic control plans -Work with other disciplines on creative solutions to design challenges -Prepare plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets -Support preparation of specifications packages -Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates

What You Bring

-Four (4) plus years of experience in roadway design -Working knowledge of basic roadway design principals -Minimum Two (2) years of experience in roadway design -Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field -Engineering Intern (E.I.) license in Florida or ability to obtain within six (6) months -Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design experience -Open Roads Designer (ORD)/FDOT Connect experience
