Overview
Lead European M&A tax due diligence, compliance, planning and risk management for infrastructure assets

Tasks
-Provide support to Brookfield team members on transaction tax aspects, including but not limited to, tax model inputs, review of legal documents and structuring decisions -Provide ongoing support to Finance, Treasury and Legal teams globally to ensure proper maintenance of holding and financing structures -Manage tax audits and respond to tax queries from European tax authorities -Manage external service providers for tax due diligence and tax structuring for European M&A transactions -Ensure timely tax filings for all European subsidiaries including corporation tax returns, country-by-country reporting notifications, Pillar 2 submissions and EU Mandatory Disclosure Regime -Identification of and execution on European tax planning opportunities -Assist with the preparation of steps and funds flows for acquisitions, disposals, cash repatriations, equity injections and other cash flows -Provide support to portfolio group tax teams during transactions and reporting processes -Communication of complex tax matters and issues in a clear and concise manner to different stakeholders -Assist other members of the global tax team on various initiatives -Maintain compliance with tax risk management policy and transfer pricing policies -Review of quarterly tax provision packages prepared by European portfolio companies

What You Bring
-Excellent project management skills and applies a pragmatic and efficient approach to handling complex assignments -Qualified ACA (or equivalent) with transaction/M&A tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and /or in industry with a multinational corporate group -Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment -Good understanding of and experience with tax accounting under IFRS -4-7 years PQE -Experienced in transactions work, M&A, tax due diligence and structuring -Experience of cross-border tax issues and strong technical knowledge of UK tax rules
