Tasks

The Venue Manager Assistant will support the management and execution of events at The Monroe in West Des Moines. This role is hands-on, guest-focused, and essential to ensuring a seamless event experience from setup to teardown. -Manage alcohol inventory, weekly ordering, and general venue supply procurement. -Ensure the venue is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. -Oversee the preparation and execution of events, ensuring each setup aligns with client expectations and venue standards. -Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors on event days and provide exceptional client service throughout each event. -Create and manage detailed room layouts, floor plans, and event timelines. -Lead transitions between ceremony and reception setups, where applicable. -Schedule and supervise bartenders, security, cleaning staff, maintenance, and venue assistants.

What You Bring

-Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships -Outgoing, personable, and genuinely passionate about events and hospitality -Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment -Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and organization -Comfortable standing for extended periods and able to lift at least 25 pounds
