Tasks

-Capitalize on existing client relationships to expand ERM’s profile and market share in the regional air quality, climate change, and oil & gas, chemical, and power markets (through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development). -Manage strategic air permits and compliance assurance programs for a variety of industrial clients with complex technical/regulatory issues. Work closely with clients and develop strong relationships to understand specific processes and develop a permitting and compliance strategy to help clients maintain maximum operating flexibility. Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality. -Effective management of multiple air quality projects and building client relationships that result in repeat business. -Build and maintain client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the Air Quality service area. -Interact with local regulators to steward permit application review and issuance. -Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. -Serve as a technical resource on air quality compliance assurance and permitting programs, including regulatory analyses of industrial facility operations; major and minor source air permit applications under NSR, PSD, Title V, and state-level regulations; and NESHAP MACT compliance programs. -Effectively manage project teams (including across multiple ERM offices), including appropriately delegating project assignments to project teams and mentoring junior staff.

What You Bring

-This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. -4+ years of relevant experience. -Bachelor degree in environmental science, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or related discipline. -Experience with AERMOD, GIS and/or health risk assessments for permitting, ambient monitoring or emissions sampling techniques, CEQA, or other regulatory compliance programs (e.g., SPCC, RMP/PSM, stormwater) is a plus. -Master degree in environmental science, chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or related discipline. -Refinery, chemical, and technology sector experience desired. -Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports. -Certification in field: P.E., CSP, CHMM, or similar registration. -Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
